Construction To Begin Again On Lofts Project
After years of sitting vacant, the project for loft apartments at 1221 Broadway is just weeks away from getting back on track, David Adelman with Cross & Company said.
"I would probably say about five minutes after we close the loan, we will be under way with construction," Adelman said. "We are ready to go. We have got subcontractors lined up (and) the contractors are ready to go."
The project has a pretty aggressive schedule for construction, he said. The first phase could be completed within one year.
"The contractor is absolutely certain that they are going to deliver in one year," said Adelman. "I will be keeping my fingers crossed with ... the rest of the people watching the project."
