Brandon Lo Porto

SENIOR DIRECTOR

Brandon Lo Porto joined Cushman & Wakefield|San Antonio Commercial Advisors in January of 2012 as Senior Director.  Brandon is a specialist in acquisition and disposition strategies for multifamily investors.  His experience includes marketing, sourcing, and renovating both conventional and tax credit apartment properties.

He began his real estate career in 2003 by opening the Marcus & Millichap San Antonio office, focusing on apartment sales.  In less than 3 years, he captured 20 percent market share for private investor transactions.  He was the number one apartment agent in the San Antonio office from 2004 to 2008.

From 2008 to 2011, Brandon worked in  acquisitions.  Initially, he was an Acquisition Vice President seeking tax credit and Class B properties covering an eight state area.  He built new relationships in four states previously not  covered by his firm.  During the peak of the recession in 2009/2010, in what many regard as the low point in tax credit history since the inception of the tax credit voucher, he closed multiple tax credit transactions in different states.   Brandon’s commitment to learning the nuances of the states in question, creatively sourcing alternatives for financing, equity, and soft funds, and developing key relationships was crucial to these  successful closings.

Most recently, Brandon served as Director of Acquisitions for a private fund targeting assets in the primary markets of Texas and Colorado.  He sought Class A and B properties for  strategic value-add.  In a competitive market, he bought multiple well located, institutional grade assets representing over $50 million in transactions.  Managing not only the sourcing, negotiating, and due diligence, he was also heavily involved with loan selection, post close redevelopment, and asset management.   Brandon is recognized in the brokerage and ownership community as having the energy, creativity, and commitment to seek out dynamic solutions and close difficult deals.

Before entering commercial real estate, Brandon spent six years in engineering sales.  He exponentially grew sales of engineered systems along with off the shelf product revenue in Louisiana and Texas for Rockwell Automation, a Fortune 500 Company.  He was recognized for his ability to network and impact a broad range of suppliers, distributors, and original equipment manufacturers.

Brandon received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.  He is proud to call San Antonio home and lives here with his Wife, Kimberly, and their two children.
